The DeKalb County High School Lady Tiger basketball team was held without a point in the second half, made only two field goals in the first half, and was handed a lopsided 57-13 loss at White County, Saturday night.
After falling behind early in the opening period, the Lady Tigers tied the game at 5-5 with 3:58 to go in the period. The Warriorettes upped the lead to eight in the final seconds, but Victoria Bennett nailed a three-pointer at the buzzer to make it a 13-8 White County lead. Bennett's shot was the only field goal of the opening period, and Mercedes Luna's jumper with four and a half minutes left in the second was the only other basket from the floor in the game for the DC girls. The Lady Tigers made 8 out of 14 free throw attempts in the first half.
