The DCHS Lady Tiger Soccer Team defeated Cannon County at Woodbury on Thursday, September 8 by the score of 8-0. Haleigh Bass scored 4 goals. Sophie Hackett had 2 and Taylor Foutch and Mercedes Bogle each had 1 goal. Meghan Brandt had 6 saves.
The DeKalb County Tigers grounded the Jets of Cumberland County Friday night in Crossville winning 43-28.
The Tigers are now 3-1 on the season while the Jets fall to 0-3.
DeKalb County got the first score of the game with 9:23 left in the 1st period on a 1 yard Tyler Bundy run. The PAT try by Matthew Poss was no good but the Tigers led 6-0.
The DCHS Lady Tiger Soccer Team won at Livingston Academy on Tuesday, August 30 by the score of 7 to 5 and at York Institute on Thursday, September 1 by the score of 6-0.
In the game with Livingston Academy, Haleigh Bass scored three goals and an assist. Taylor Spare had two goals and an assist. Sophie Hackett and Nichole Walker each had a goal. Meghan Brandt had ten saves.
It has been a great week for the Lady Saints! DMS had two homes games on Tuesday and Thursday and got two big victories!
On Tuesday, the visiting White Co. Spartans came to town. The game went back and forth but DeKalb pulled this one out 4-2.

After trailing York Institute for most of the game Friday night, the DeKalb County Tigers rallied late and scored the winning touchdown with nine seconds on the clock to defeat the Dragons in Smithville 28-21.
DeKalb County improves to 2-1 (1-0 in region) while the Dragons drop to 0-3 (0-1) on the season.
The Stone Memorial Panthers ran over the DeKalb County Tigers 34-7 in Smithville Friday night on the second week of the high school football season.
The Tigers found it difficult to stop the Panthers’ effective running game as all five Stone Memorial touchdowns came on the ground.

Florence & White Ford and the Ford Motor Company are offering DCHS Football the opportunity to raise thousands of dollars with their annual test drive program on Friday, August 5 prior to a scrimmage game against Friendship Christian. Tiger football fans can earn money for the DCHS football program by simply test-driving a new Ford at the school.
Danny Fish has been named the new DCHS girls softball coach.
Fish, who has served as an assistant to former head coach Danny Bond for the last four years, will be moving from Northside Elementary School, where he taught physical education to DCHS where he will also be a P.E. teacher.
The DeKalb County High School Golf Team will be having tryouts on Monday, July 11, at the Smithville Golf Course at 1:00 p.m. Anyone interested in
trying out is welcome to come. The golf team will also be hosting the DCHS Golf Team Fund Raiser 4-Person Scramble at Riverwatch Golf Course on
