Tigerettes Roll to Big Win at Cannon County

The DeKalb County Tigerettes rolled to a 16 to 2 win at Cannon County Tuesday.

DC scored two runs in the first inning, one run in the second, three runs in the third, six runs in the fourth, and five runs in the fifth inning.

Cannon County scored two runs in the fifth inning.

Owls Complete Regular Season Sweep of Tigers

The Smith County Owls completed a regular season sweep of the DeKalb County Tigers with a 9 to 3 win at Carthage Tuesday. DC lost at home to Smith County 4 to 2 on Monday.

The Owls scored two runs in the second inning, four runs in the third, one run in the fourth, and two runs in the sixth inning. The Tigers scored one run in the second, third, and fourth innings.

Devin Summers, the losing pitcher, faced twenty one batters through three innings and gave up six runs, including one earned run, on five hits. He struck out three, walked two, and hit a batter.

Steven Page came in relief and faced thirteen batters. He gave up three earned runs on three hits. Page struck out four and walked one.

Tigers Drop District Game to Smith County 4-2

The DeKalb County Tigers suffered another district loss Monday, falling to the Smith County Owls in Smithville 4 to 2.

The Tigers scored one run in the first inning and one in the fifth inning. The Owls scored one run in the first inning, one in the third, one in the sixth, and one in the seventh inning.

Cody Puckett, the losing pitcher, faced thirty three batters through seven innings and gave up four runs on seven hits. He struck out fifteen and walked six.

Tigerettes Finish 3-2 in Gordonsville Tournament

The DeKalb County Tigerettes went 3-2 in the Gordonsville Tournament held Friday and Saturday at Cane Creek Sportsplex in Cookeville.

In pool play games the Tigerettes defeated White County 5-0, lost to Daniel Boone 8 to 2, and beat Collierville 3 to 2. During the single elimination portion of the tournament, the Tigerettes shutout Livingston Academy 10 to 0 and lost to Leyden 11 to 2

In the game with White County, DC scored two runs in the second inning and three runs in the third.

Cannon County Shuts Out Dawgs 4-0

The DeKalb West Dawgs lost to the Cannon County Lions 4 to 0 on Friday, March 23 at home. The Dawgs only reached base five times during the five inning game. Jacob Self reached on an error by the Cannon County's short stop. Joey Moon drew a walk twice and Noah Parsley reached base twice, once as he was hit by the pitcher. He drew a walk in his last at bat. Cannon County's pitcher struck out 7 of the Dawgs batters.

Sam McMillen was the losing pitcher. He pitched four full innings. McMillen struck out eight Cannon County batters, walked one batter and he gave up five hits and two earned runs. AJ Mooneyham came in the top of the fifth inning to close the game where he struck out one batter, he gave up three hits and two earned runs. The final score was DeKalb West Dawgs 0, Cannon County 4.

Wildcats Knock off Tigers 8-7

The Tigers suffered their first district loss of the season, falling to Livingston Academy 8 to 7 Tuesday in Smithville.

The Wildcats scored three runs in the first inning, four runs in the second, and one run in the seventh. The Tigers scored two runs in the first, two runs in the second, two runs in the third, and one run in the seventh inning.

The Lady Wildcats scored four runs off two, two run homeruns in the sixth inning. The Tigerettes scored one run in the third inning and one run in the seventh.

Tigers Win District Opener at Livingston Academy

The DeKalb County Tigers won their district opener Monday at Livingston Academy 2 to 1

DC scored two runs in the fourth inning while the Wildcats scored one in the first inning.

Cody Puckett pitched a no hitter through seven innings and gave up one earned run. Puckett faced twenty seven batters, struck out thirteen, walked five, and hit one batter.

Tigerettes Take Two in Home Opener Over Grundy County

The DCHS Tigerettes won both games of a double header against Grundy County Wednesday in Smithville

DC won the first game 10 to 0 and 9 to 3 in the nightcap.

In the first game, the Tigerettes scored one run in the first inning, six runs in the third, and three runs in the fourth inning.
