DCHS Baseball Coach Scott Odom Suspended for Alleged TSSAA Rule Violation

DeKalb County High School Baseball Coach Scott Odom will have to sit out the rest of the season.

DCHS Principal Patrick Cripps suspended Coach Odom this week based on allegations that a TSSAA regulation was violated when Little League umpires were scheduled for the DCHS game against Watertown Tuesday in Smithville. The Tigers won that game on senior night 8 to 7.

Tigerettes Edge Owlettes 4-3

The DeKalb County Tigerettes defeated the Smith County Owlettes 4 to 3 at Carthage on Thursday.

DC scored four runs on six hits and made no errors. Smith County scored three runs on ten hits and made no errors. The Tigerettes scored all four runs in the seventh inning. The Owlettes scored all three runs in the third inning.

Tigerettes Lose to Lionettes

The DeKalb County Tigerettes lost 4 to 3 to Cannon County at Woodbury Tuesday.

Cannon County scored four runs on seven hits and made no errors. DeKalb County scored three runs on six hits and made five errors.

The Tigerettes scored one run in the first and two runs in the second inning. Cannon County scored one run in the first, third, fourth, and seventh inning.
