The DeKalb County Tigers will compete for the championship of the Region 4AA high school basketball tournament Thursday night after defeating Bledsoe County 62 to 51 Tuesday night in the semi-finals at Dunlap.

The DCHS basketball teams won at Gabriel Christian Friday night. The Lady Tigers prevailed in a 63 to 22 blowout while the Tigers won 77 to 65.
The Lady Tigers led 14 to 4 after the first period, 33 to 6 at halftime, and 47 to 12 after the third period. The final score was 63 to 22.
DeKalb County's Sonni Fullilove has been named the boy's Defensive Player of the Year in District 8 AA while Tiger Coach Lynus Martin is the Boy's District Coach of the Year.
The All-District selections were announced Friday.
Livingston Academy's Mason Ramsey is the District's Most Valuable Player for boys while Cannon County's Abby Sissom took the MVP honor for girls.
With the Tiger's 85-60 victory over the Chattanooga Patriots Thursday on Senior Night, Coach Lynus Martin reached a milestone with his 200th career coaching win.
