The DeKalb County High School basketball teams lost on their home court Friday night to the visiting Livingston Academy Wildcats and Lady Wildcats.
In the girls game, Livingston Academy won 75 to 42 and the Wildcats knocked off the Tigers in the nightcap 75 to 60.
The Lady Wildcats led 21 to 5 after the first period, 45 to 15 at halftime, and 64 to 27 after the third quarter, before notching the 75 to 42 win.
Martha Webb led the Lady Tigers with 16 points. Victoria Bennett had 8. Cynthia Woodward 7, Morgan Page and Elicia Cantrell each with 3 points and Mercedes Luna and Alex Meadows each had 2 points.
Shelby Taylor led Livingston Academy with 19 points.
In the boys game, the Wildcats led 20 to 11 after the first period, 36 to 26 at halftme, and 51 to 42 after the third period, before going on to win 75 to 60.
Payne Denman had 13 points for the Tigers. Abram Edwards 11, Hunter Poteete 9, Jeff Miller 8, Cody Myrick and J.J. Herriott each with 6 points, Seth Willoughby 5, and Hunter Stewart with 2 points.
With the losses, the DeKalb County Lady Tigers drop to 5-16 on the season and 0-8 in the district while the Tigers fall to 12-9 overall and 2-6 in district play.
