The DCHS Tigers rolled to a 45-7 win over Macon County Friday on Senior Night to run their season record to 8-0.
Macon County remains winless at 0-7.
The visiting Tigers got the ball to start the game but DeKalb County's Chris Chapman intercepted a Macon County pass to stop the drive. Two plays later, Chapman scored on a 13 yard touchdown run. The extra point by Ben Driver was good and DeKalb County led 7-0 with 10:29 left in the first period.
Will Molander caught at 20 yard touchdown pass from quarterback Lucas Phillips with 7:33 left in the first period. The P.A.T. try by Ben Driver was no good but the Black and Gold Tigers led 13-0.
Quarterback Lucas Phillips scored on an 18 yard touchdown run with 21 seconds left in the first period. Ben Driver came on for the extra point and DC led 20-0.
Chris Chapman caught a six yard touchdown pass from quarterback Lucas Phillips with 5:34 left in the second period. The P.A.T. by Ben Driver was good and DeKalb County led 27-0.
Will Molander scored on a 14 yard touchdown pass play from quarterback Lucas Phillips with 10:34 left in the third to put the Tigers up 33-0 after the P.A.T. try failed.
Lucas Phillips tossed another six yard touchdown pass to Chris Chapman with 7:44 left in the third period. The P.A.T. was no good but DC led 39 to. 0
Sam Giles scored on a one yard run with 10:42 left in fourth to give the Tigers a 45 to 0 lead
after Ben Driver's kick for the P.A.T. was blocked.
Macon County finally got on the board with 1:07 left in the game on a one yard touchdown run by Dale Turner. The P.A.T. by Zach Gahzl was good but DeKalb County won 45-7.
Next week, the Tigers will travel to Baxter to take on the Upperman Bees. The kick-off is at 7:00 p.m. WJLE will broadcast the game LIVE.
