The DeKalb County Tiger baseball team opened the season with a win Monday defeating Bledsoe County in Smithville 10 to 0 in five innings.
The Tigers scored two runs in the first inning, four runs in the second, and four runs in the fourth.
Cody Puckett, the winning pitcher, faced eighteen batters through five innings and struck out twelve. He gave up one hit and walked two.
