With the win, the Tigers run their season record to 3-0 and start the district campaign at 1-0.
The first score came with 8:55 left in the first period as Dylan Freeney scored on a 25 yard touchdown run. Zach Taylor connected on the P.A.T. and the Tigers led 7-0
Cody Puckett got on the board with 1:02 left in the first period on a two yard touchdown run. Taylor's P.A.T. gave the home team a 14-0 lead.
The Tigers went up by three touchdowns with 3:48 left in the second quarter on a 55 yard pass play from quarterback Lucas Phillips to Will Molander. Taylor's PA.T. was good and DeKalb County led 21 to 0.
With 32 seconds before halftime, Chris Chapman scored on a one yard touchdown run. The P.A.T. by Taylor was good and the Tigers led 28-0.
Cannon County's Brandon James scored on a 28 yard touchdown run with 9:23 left in the third period. A two point conversion attempt failed but the Lions cut the Tiger lead to 28 to 6.
DC answered with 8:18 left in the third period on an 18 yard touchdown pass play from quarterback Lucas Phillips to Zach Thompson. The P.A.T. by Taylor was good and the Tigers led 35-6.
After a Cannon County turnover, the Tigers added to their lead on an 8 yard touchdown pass play from quarterback Lucas Phillips to Sebastian Phillips with 7:34 left in the third period. Taylor's P.A.T. was good the Tigers led 42-6.
Dylan Freeney scored his second touchdown of the game with 3:27 left in the third period on a 19 yard touchdown run. Taylor's P.A.T. was good and the Tigers led 49-6.
Zach Taylor got the final score of the night for the Tigers with 8:21 left in the fourth quarter on a four yard touchdown pass from quarterback Lucas Phillips. Taylor added the P.A.T. and DeKalb County went on to win 56-6.
The Tigers will host the White County Warriors next Friday night for Homecoming. Gametime is 7:00 p.m. WJLE will have LIVE coverage
