The DeKalb County Tigers knocked off the Purple Tigers of Watertown Friday in Smithville 7 to 2.
DeKalb County scored seven runs on seven hits and made one error.
Watertown scored two runs on six hits and made two errors.
The Tigers scored five runs in the fourth inning and two runs in the sixth inning. Watertown scored two runs in the seventh inning.
Garrett Hoke pitched six scoreless innings enroute to the win. He struck out six, walked one, and gave up three hits.
John Malone came in for one inning and gave up two runs, both earned, on three hits. He struck out one and walked one.
Zack Rowland had a three run home run in the game. That was his second round tripper of the season.
Chris Sliger had a single and 2 RBI, Colt Stewart and Trey Finley each had a double and an RBI. John Malone had a double, and Joseph Bowen and Bray Page singled.
DeKalb County's record is now 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the district.
