Tigers Eliminated from State Football Play-Offs

The DeKalb County Tigers were dealt a 55 to 13 defeat at Knoxville Catholic in the opening round of the State High School Football Play-Offs Friday night.

Catholic dominated throughout the game.

The Tigers got on the board with 4:22 left in the second period on a 42 yard touchdown run by Devonta Milan. The extra point by kicker Matthew Poss was good. DeKalb County trailed at halftime 48-7.

The only other score of the night for the Tigers came on the first play of the fourth period on a one yard touchdown pass play from quarterback Steven Jennings to Lane Ball with 11:46 left in the game. The P.A.T attempt was no good.

The season comes to a close for the Tigers who finish the year at 6-5.
