Tigers Close out Regular Season

The DeKalb County Tigers picked up two more victories this week as they now prepare for the district tournament next week.

On Thursday, the Tigers shutout Trousdale County 9 to 0 and on Tuesday, DeKalb County defeated Bledsoe County 5 to 2.

In the game with Trousdale County, the Tigers scored one run in the first inning, one run in the fourth, five runs in the fifth, and two runs in the sixth.

Cody Puckett, the winning pitcher, pitched a shutout through six innings and struck out ten. Hunter Graham, the closer, went one inning and he struck out two and walked one.

In the game with Bledsoe County, the Tigers scored two runs in the second inning, one run in the third, one run in the fifth, and one run in the sixth inning.

Bledsoe County scored one run in the first and one run in the second inning.

Garrett Hoke, the winning pitcher, gave up two earned runs on five hits through seven innings. He struck out thirteen and walked one.
