The DeKalb County Tigers eliminated Chattanooga Christian 11 to 4 Tuesday in Smithville to advance to the finals of the Region 4AA baseball tournament.
The Tigers will host Smith County today (Wednesday) at 6:00 p.m. at the DCHS baseball field in Smithville.
In the game Tuesday, the Tigers scored one run in the first inning, one run in the second, three runs in the fourth, two runs in the fifth, and four runs in the sixth inning.
Chattanooga Christian scored two runs in the first and two runs in the seventh inning.
Garrett Hoke, the winning pitcher, faced 28 batters and gave up four runs, three earned, on six hits through seven innings. He struck out nine and walked two.
