The DeKalb County High School Tigers and Lady Tigers fell to Station Camp in a pair of Hall of Fame games Saturday night in Smithville.
The Lady Tigers lost in the opener 57 to 41 and the Bison pulled away from the Tigers in the nightcap 81 to 46.
The girls game was tied at 13 at the end of the first period but the Lady Bison held a 24 to 20 lead at half time. Station Camp outscored the Lady Tigers 12 to 5 in the third period and led 36 to 25 going into the fourth period. The visitors went on to win 57 to 41.
Cynthia Woodward led DeKalb County in scoring with 15 points followed by Victoria Bennett and Martha Webb each with 8 points, Morgan Page had 6 points, and Nikki Bass with 4 points.
The Tigers meanwhile trailed 13 to 12 after the first period of their game. The Bison outgunned the Tigers 23 to 11 in the second period to take a halftime advantage of 36 to 23. Station Camp led 49 to 35 after three quarters and went on to win 81 to 46 after outscoring the Tigers 32 to 11 in the fourth period.
Payne Denman led the Tigers in scoring with 9 points followed by Destry Wiggins and Seth Willoughby each with 8 points, Hunter Poteete 6, Shane Sallie, Cody Atnip, and Ethan Hale each with 3 points, and Justin France, Cody Myrick, and Hunter Stewart each with 2 points.
Vanderbilt signee John Jenkins scored 48 points for Station Camp in the game.
Under the Hall of Fame rules, the Tigers and Lady Tigers don't have to count the losses on their season record.
