The DeKalb County Tigers and Lady Tigers lost a pair of district games to their Cannon County neighbors at Woodbury Friday night.
The Lady Tigers lost 75 to 41 in the first game and the Tigers were defeated 67 to 48.
In the first game, the Lady Tigers trailed 21 to 10 after the first period, 42 to 24 at halftime, and 67 to 30 after the third period before falling to the Lionettes 75 to 41.
Paige Winningham led DeKalb County in scoring with 15 points. Ashli Chew and McKenzie Poteete each scored 6 points. Katie Hall had 5 and Loren Cripps, Jailyn Bolding, and Morgan Pedigo each scored 3 points.
In the boys game, DC trailed 14 to 8 after the first period, 25 to 20 at halftime, and 45 to 30 after the third period before losing 67 to 48.
Steven Jennings led the Tigers in scoring with 17 points. Kaleb Ferrell and Justin Bone each scored 10. Ethan Roller 4, Aaron Patterson 3, and Eli Lomas and Austin Frazier each scored 2 points.
DeKalb County will host the Chattanooga Patriots today (Saturday) starting at 4:00 p.m. in Smithville.
