Tigerettes Tie for 3rd Place in Plateau Invitational

The DeKalb County Tigerettes went 3-2 and tied for third place in the Plateau Invitational at Crossville over the weekend.

In Pool Play, the Tigerettes defeated Stone Memorial 10 to 6

Stone Memorial scored two runs in the first inning, two runs in the third, and two runs in the fourth inning. DeKalb County scored one run in the first inning, three runs in the second, five runs in the third, and one run in the fifth inning.

Lauren Colwell, the winning pitcher went five innings and gave up six runs on nine hits. She struck out one and walked one

In the second game, the Tigerettes lost to Hendersonville 8 to 7

DeKalb County scored two runs in the first inning, three runs in the third, one run in the fifth, and one in the international tie breaker. Hendersonville scored one run in the third inning, three runs in the fifth, and two runs in the international tie breaker

The losing pitcher, Shauna Taylor went five innings and gave up six runs. She struck out two and walked four. Lauren Colwell came in for one inning and gave up two runs and walked one.
