Roughly 60 high school softball teams from across the State of Tennessee will gather in Hendersonville, this Friday and Saturday, for the annual Commando Classic. Among those teams will be the DeKalb County High School Tigerettes, who will open play in the event Friday evening.
The Tigerettes will play in Pool M, which also features Smyrna, Harpeth and Unicoi County. DeKalb County will play three pool games - two Friday and one Saturday morning - then a single-elimination tournament will begin for the pool champions on Saturday afternoon.
DeKalb's first pool game will be Friday evening at 5:00 p.m., as the team will take on Smyrna on Field 13. The Tigerettes will then square off against Unicoi County at 8:00 p.m Friday night, also on Field 13. The last pool play game for DeKalb County will be against Harpeth, Saturday morning, at 9:30 a.m. at Veterans' Park Field V3.
The double-elimination portion of the tournament will begin around noon on Saturday.
