Tigerettes Record Back to Back Shutout Wins in Duff Tournament at Cookeville

The DeKalb County Tigerettes won both of their games on the first day of the Duff Tournament at Cookeville on Friday.

The Tigerettes defeated Gallatin 4 to 0 and then knocked off Boyd Buchanan 12 to 0.

In the win over Gallatin, DeKalb County scored one run in the first inning, two runs in the second, and one run in the fifth inning.

Olivia Norton pitched a shutout through six innings and struck out four.

In the win over Boyd Buchanan, the Tigerettes scored one run in the first inning, four runs in the second, six runs in the third, and one run in the fourth inning.

Kayla Self pitched a four hit shutout through four innings. She struck out one.

DeKalb County will finish pool play today (Saturday) at 10:30 a.m. against Bledsoe County before entering a single elimination tournament starting at 12:30 p.m.
