Tigerettes Finish Runners-Up in District Tournament

The Upperman Lady Bees won the district tournament softball championship Thursday, beating the DeKalb County Tigerettes 3 to 0 at Baxter.

As the runners-up in the district, the Tigerettes will travel to Sequatchie County for the first round of the region tournament Monday. Game time is 6:00 p.m.

In the game Thursday, Lauren Colwell, the losing pitcher, gave up three runs, two earned, on eight hits through six innings. She struck out one.

Tigerettes making the All-District Tournament Team are Brooke Hutchings, Tiffini Hendrixson, Loren Cripps, and Alex Meadows.
