Tigerettes Finish 0-4 in Macon County Tournament

The DeKalb County Tigerettes finished 0-4 in the Macon County Tournament over the weekend at the Cane Creek Sportsplex in Cookeville

In pool play Friday, the Tigerettes lost to Macon County 5 to 4, and to Hixson 10 to 2. On Saturday, DC. lost to John Paul, II 13 to 2 and to Massac County, Illinois 9 to 0.

In the game with Macon County, DeKalb scored three runs in the first inning and one run in the second. Macon County scored three runs in the third inning and two runs in the fifth inning.

Lauren Colwell, the losing pitcher, went five innings and gave up five runs on seven hits. She struck out three, walked one and hit a batter.

In the game with Hixson, DeKalb scored two runs in the third inning
Hixson scored three runs in the first inning, and seven runs in the second inning.

Shauna Taylor, the losing pitcher, went one and one third innings and gave up nine runs on four hits. She struck out one, walked four, and hit two batters. Danielle Tyson came in for two and two thirds innings and gave up two runs on two hits and walked one.

In the game with John Paul, II, DeKalb scored two runs in the fourth inning. John Paul, II scored eight runs in the first inning, three runs in the second, and one run in the third inning.

Danielle Tyson, the losing pitcher, went two innings and gave up twelve runs on nine hits and walked three. Shauna Taylor came in for two innings and gave up one run on two hits and walked two.
