The DeKalb County Tigerettes defeated Smith County 5 to 4 Monday in Smithville.
Smith County scored one run in the first inning, two runs in the fifth, and one run in the seventh inning.

Danielle Tyson, the winning pitcher, went five innings and gave up three runs on seven hits. She struck out three and walked one. Lauren Colwell came in for two innings and gave up one run on one hit and struck out four.
