The DeKalb County Tigerettes shutout Monterey 16 to 0 but then lost to Mount Juliet 10 to 0 in pool play of the Duff Tournament at Cookeville Friday.
In the game with Monterey, the Tigerettes scored seven runs in the first inning, eight runs in the second, and one run in the third inning.
Shauna Taylor, the winning pitcher, pitched a two hit shutout through three innings. She struck out two and walked one.
