The York Institute Dragons handed the DeKalb County High School soccer team a 2-0 loss in district action, Monday in Jamestown. The defeat drops the soccer Tigers to 1-2 overall, and to 1-1 in district play.
The Dragons scored one goal in each half of the game, with Russell Smith converting a pair of unassisted goals. DeKalb County out-shot York, 32 to 13, and DC goalie, Tyler Woods stopped 11 of the Dragons' 13 shots on goal.
The Tigers are scheduled to host Jackson County, Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m. in a district clash.
