It was all Smith County Tuesday night as the DeKalb Saints went on the road to Carthage to kick off their football season and lost 36 to 0 to the Owls.
The Owls took the opening kick off and scored shortly thereafter. The two point conversion was good and the Owls led 8-0
Then with 2:04 left in the first quarter the Owls scored again. The two point conversion was good and the score was 16-0
The Owls extended their lead with another touchdown. The score came with 5:48 to go in the first half. The P.A.T was no good but the Owls led 22-0.
The Saints fell behind 30 to 0 as the Owls scored another touchdown and then converted on the two point attempt with 2:48 left in the second quarter.
The Owls' final score of the game came with 6:52 left in the fourth period giving them a 36-0 victory.
The Saints will be at home next Thursday August 25th hosting Gordonsville at 6:30 p.m.
