The DeKalb County Tigers and Lady Tigers lost to Livingston Academy Tuesday night in Smithville.
In the girls game, the Lady Wildcats dominated, winning 71 to 38 while LA got by the Tigers 72 to 71.
Loren Cripps led the Lady Tigers in scoring with 14 points and went over 1,000 points for her high school career in the game. Paige Winningham scored 10, Morgan Pedigo 6, Jailyn Bolding 5 and McKenzie Poteete with 3 points.
The Lady Tigers trailed 15 to 8 after the first period, 33 to 16 at halftime, and 60 to 28 after the third period before losing 71 to 38.
In the boys game, the Tigers led 20 to 16 after the first period and 31 to 30 at halftime. The Wildcats rallied to take a 55 to 48 lead after the third period and held on to defeat the Tigers 72 to 71.
Ethan Roller scored 22 points. Steven Jennings 21. Justin Bone and Aaron Patterson each scored 11 points and Austin Frazier had 6 points.
DeKalb County will travel to Macon County Thursday night and conclude the regular season at home against Warren County Saturday night starting at 6:00 p.m. each night.
