The Lady Tigers came up short against the Watertown Tigerettes in the Christmas Tournament at Watertown Wednesday night, losing 43 to 35.
The game was close throughout with DC holding an 11 to 10 lead after the first period but falling behind 16 to 15 at halftime, being outscored 6 to 4 in the second period. Watertown had a three point edge after the third period leading 28 to 25, outscoring DC 12 to 10 in the third period. The Tigerettes went on to win 43 to 35, outscoring DC 15 to 10 in the fourth period.
Loren Cripps had 12 points to lead the Lady Tigers. Danielle Tyson scored 8, Alex Meadows and Abbey Caldwell each scored 6 and Ashley Barnes had 3.
The Lady Tigers, who had defeated Cheatham County on Tuesday in the tournament, now drop into the consolation bracket and will play for third place today (Thursday) at 4:00 p.m. WJLE will have LIVE coverage.
