The season came to a close for the DeKalb County Lady Tigers Monday night as they lost to Cannon County 59 to 48 in the Region 4-AA Tournament at Sparta.
DeKalb County led 11 to 10 after the first period and outscored the Lionettes 12 to 11 in the second period to take a 23 to 21 halftime lead. The second half belonged to Cannon County as the Lionettes outscored the Lady Tigers 18 to 12 in the third period to grab a 39 to 35 lead heading into the fourth quarter. From there, Cannon County outgunned the Lady Tigers 20 to 13 and won by eleven points, 59 to 48.
Martha Webb led DeKalb County in scoring with 20 points. Cynthia Woodward had 12. Kristina Stevens 8, Morgan Page 6, and Alex Meadows with 2 points.
The Lady Tigers finish the season with a overall record of 17-15.
