The DeKalb County High School Lady Tiger soccer team scored two more wins, last week. The Lady Tigers nipped Jackson County, 1-0, in Gainesboro on Tuesday, then scored an 8-5 shootout win over Boyd Christian, last Thursday.
Daryl Hobby's goal in the game's 15th minute proved to be the only score in Tuesday's game and Carolyn Bass and Jessica Ray combined to stop only five Jackson County shots, as the Lady Blue Devils concentrated most of their efforts on the defensive side of the field, after the Lady Tigers put a 12-0 whipping on Jackson County earlier in the season.
On Thursday, Andrea Leon scored four goals and Alisha Chapman added two more in the high scoring affair. Lacey Parchman and Megan Merriman each added a goal, as the Lady Tigers rallied from a 1-0 deficit, and had five of their goals on the board by intermission.
Bass and Ray each stopped five shots for the Lady Tigers, who improved to 3-2 overall on the season.
