It's been a busy couple of weeks in the world of Lady Tiger Soccer. At one point, the Tigers had five games in six days! Coach K and the Tigers opened this stretch of games with one of the biggest victories in the history of the Lady Tiger soccer Program. On September 11th, the Lady Tigers traveled to Overton County to face rival Livingston Academy. Before that night in 2012, the Tigers had never beaten the Wildcats, but that night was a different story. The Tigers' defense, with the help of Freshman Goalkeeper Jessica Billings, did not allow a goal in the 2-0 victory. This game will linger in the hearts of the six seniors forever! No team has ever beat LA until now! The Tigers finished the week with a 7-0 rout of district opponent Friendship Christian. That following weekend the Tigers traveled to Franklin County for an exhibition tournament which included AAA schools that proved to be tough competition. The Tigers tied one game and lost two that weekend and finished the tournament in fifth place. The next week the Tigers played Cannon County during school hours and won this match with a score of three to zero. The school body was excited to be apart of this district shutout! The next game on our schedule is against York Institute on October 2nd, and will be the Lady Tigers final home game of the regular season. On this night, we will also be honoring our six seniors during a Senior Night Ceremony. Game time is at 6:30 p.m.. Ceremonies start at 6:00 p.m.. Please come out and support the Lady Tigers as they continue to contend for the district championship.
