The DeKalb County High School Lady Tiger soccer team will open play in the District Tournament, Monday night, as the team will host Jackson County at 6:30 p.m.
The Lady Tigers, 3-7-2 on the season, finished fourth in the final regular season standings, and take on the fifth-seeded Lady Blue Devils, whom they have beaten twice already this season. DeKalb County beat Jackson County, 12-0 in Smithville back on August 23rd, and won a 1-0 decision over the Lady Blue Devils, September 4th in Gainesboro. The Lady Tigers' final district record was 2-4-2.
Should the Lady Tigers win their tournament opener over the Lady Blue Devils, they would travel to Livingston to take on top-seeded, Livingston Academy, Tuesday night. The winner of that match would advance on to the District Tournament championship and clinch a berth in the Region Tournament.
