Jaylen Garrett, a member of the Class of 2010 and an outstanding member of the DeKalb County High School Tigerette Fast Pitch Softball Team has received a $5,800 athletic scholarship from Roane State Community College to play softball
Garrett signed with the school after Friday's senior awards day program at DCHS. In addition to Garrett and Roane State Head Coach Sue Niemi, Garrett's parents, Rena Garrett and Dewayne Garrett were on hand for the signing along with DCHS Softball coach Danny Bond and members of his staff, Amy Tobitt and Lynus Martin.
