The DeKalb County High School basketball teams bounced back from their losses at Cannon County Friday night with wins over the visiting Chattanooga Patriots Saturday night in Smithville.
The Lady Tigers won 61 to 21 while the Tigers topped the Patriots 67 to 31.
In the girls game, DC led 19 to 3 after the first period, 37 to 11 at halftime, and 52 to 17 after the third period before winning 61 to 21.
Loren Cripps scored 16. Morgan Pedigo 14. Jailyn Bolding 9, Hannah Panter 5 McKenzie Poteete, Paige Winningham, Ashli Chew, and Katie Hall each with 4 points, and Lexi Bates with 1 point.
In the nightcap, the Tigers led 22 to 9 after the first period, 40 to 14 at halftime, and 60 to 20 after the third period, before winning 67 to 31.
Ethan Roller scored 21 points, Justin Bone 17, Steven Jennings 7, Kaleb Ferrell 6, Aaron Patterson and Austin Frazier each with 4 points, Gentry Harpole and Eli Lomas each with 3 points, and Johnathon Munoz had 2 points.
DeKalb County travels to Jamestown Monday night to play a couple of make-up district games against York Institute starting with the girls contest at 5:00 p.m.
