DeKalb County's 2010 Little League All-Star teams and season award winners were announced during a special ceremony Tuesday at the Little League Field.
Stephen Page received the Carter Braswell Most Valuable Player award for the Junior League division, while A.J. Mooneyham and Tyree Cripps each won the award in Little League and Minor League, respectively.
Evan Curtis won the Josh Reece Memorial Golden Glove award in Junior League, while John Roller won it in the Little League division. Ethan Martin won the Josh Reece award in Minor League.
Quentin Cook and Jordan Huling were co-recipients of the Mike Williams Memorial Batting Champion award in Junior League, as each player hit .500 for the season. Seth Wright won the Mike Williams award for the best average in Little League with a .500 average, while Derek Fish, who hit .689 for the season, was the Minor League recipient.
The Eric Midgett Memorial Sportsmanship Awards went to DeKalb Community Bank in Junior League, Liberty Machine in Little League, Beshearse Landscaping in Minor League Kid Pitch, and CT Cycles got the award in Minor League Machine Pitch.
Love-Cantrell won the Minor League Machine Pitch championship for 2010 while ASC Eagles came in second place.
DTC won the league championship in Minor League Kid Pitch. Taking second place was Southern Landscape Supply.
Webb's Pharmacy in Little League and Kiwanis Club in Junior League were crowned champions in their respective leagues while Rice's Tigers in Little League and Liberty State Bank in Junior League finished in second place.
The 9-10 year old Machine Pitch All-Stars are John Maynard, Derrick Young, Luke Oliver, Logan Cornelius, Conner Pruitt, Luke Bryant, James Stephens, Skylar Sparks, Hunter Jennings, Josh Carlton, and Keaton Bond. Russell Oliver is the coach.
The 9-10 year old Kid Pitch All-Stars include Brayden Hart, Brady Hughes, Seth Whaley, Marshall Evins, Tyree Cripps, Austin Johnson, Christian Pruitt, Ethan Martin, Tanner Poss, Grayson Redmon, Colter Norris, and Noah Gill. Darrell Gill is the coach.
Members of the 11 year old All-Stars are Jordan Whitehead, Adam Ferrell, Lakota Luna, Matthew Judkins, Adam Whitecotton, Gentry Harpole, Laradon Wiggins, Isaiah Jones, Caleb Stanley, Josh Hembree, Casey Taylor, and Matthew Wright. Tim Jared is the coach.
The 11-12 year-old All-Stars include Dusty Griffith, Sam McMillen, Lane Davenport, Jacob Washer, Joey Moon, Austin Brown, A.J. Mooneyham, Charlie Young, Cason Oakley, Seth Wright, Noah Parsley, and Dylan Stover. The coach is Jeff Young.
The 13-14 year-old All-Star team consists of Joe Driver, Ty Curtis, Devin Summers, Aaron Patterson, Eli Gill, Seth Stanley, Chase Hoke, Stephen Page, Travis Ferrell, Tyler Monette, Evan Cripps, and Spencer Stanfield. Steve Page is the coach.
The 15 & 16 year old All-Star team is made up of Daniel Stanley, Jake Craven, Jacob Cripps, Jordan Huling, Evan Curtis, Alex Hall, Quentin Cook, Deshon Reeder, Skylar Davis, Brandon Winnie, and Brittany Murphy. The coach is Eric Drennan.
