The DeKalb Lady Saints Fast-Pitch team defeated Cannon County 5 to 0 in Smithville on Thursday.
The local team scored one run in the first, second, fourth, fifth, and sixth innings.
Meanwhile, on Monday the Lady Saints defeated Warren County in McMinnville 11 to 2. They also won the junior varsity game 7 to 1.
The 1st ever DeKalb Middle Play Day, sponsored by the DeKalb Middle School Lady Saints Fastpitch Team, will be held Saturday, March 20th beginning at 8:00 at the DCHS Softball Field. This will be a 3 pool, single elimination tournament with the he following schools competing: Avery Trace, Cannon County, Cornerstone, DeKalb County, & Warren County.
For all you ball lovers….this will be a day full of competitive fastpitch softball! Concessions & Tournament t-shirts will be available. All proceeds go to support the DeKalb Middle School Lady Saints Fastpitch Team.
