DeKalb Girls Softball Awards

DeKalb County Girls Softball Association honored their best for the 2007 season, last Thursday night, at the Bill Page Ball Field.

In the slow-pitch Baby Dolls league, the first place team was Liberty State Bank, coached by Jo Ann Page and Tracie Meadows; second place went to DeKalb Community Bank, coached by Lori Page; third place went to DeKalb Funeral Chapel, coached by Shannon Cantrell; fourth place went to Tennessee Barn Builders, coached by Tracie Baker; and fifth place went to Page Brothers Construction, coached by Cotton Bain and David Bain.

In the fast-pitch Baby Dolls league, first place went to DeKalb Funeral Chapel, second place went to DeKalb Community Bank, third place went to Liberty State Bank, and fourth place went to Page Brothers Construction.

In the slow-pitch Junior Dolls league, first place went to Napa Auto Parts, coached by Tim Hendrix; second place went to Kilgore's Restaurant, coached by Shane Judkins; third place went to Pokey's Bail Bonding, coached by Larry Bain; and fourth place went to the Whorton Springs Mud Slingers, coached by Veronica Bain.

In the fast-pitch Junior Dolls league, first place went to Napa Auto Parts, second place went to the Whorton Springs Mud Slingers, third place went to Pokey's Bain Bonding, and fourth place went to Kilgore's Restaurant.

In the slow-pitch Senior Dolls league, first place went to A-Plus Heating & Cooling, coached by Bill Page; second place went to Webb's Pharmacy, coached by Tony Culwell; and third place went to K&M Jewelry, coached by Ronald Merriman.

In the fast-pitch Senior Dolls division, first place went to Webb's Pharmacy, second place went to A-Plus Heating & Cooling, and third place went to K&M Jewelry.

Among the individual awards, Dani Meadows was awarded the Jackie Daniels Award, while Nioka Norton won the Danny Judkins Award. Page Brothers Construction was given the Sportsmanship Award.
