The DeKalb County Tigers and Lady Tigers lost to York Institute at Jamestown on Monday night.
The DC girls came up short, losing 51 to 48 while the Tigers were upended 55 to 32.
In the girls contest, the Lady Tigers led 12 to 8 after the first period but found themselves down 32 to 29 by halftime. York Institute led 46 to 41 after the third period and went on to defeat DeKalb County 51 to 48.
Loren Cripps scored 17. Morgan Pedigo had 15. McKenzie Poteete with 8. Paige Winningham 5 . Ashli Chew with 2 and Katie Hall with 1 point.
The Tigers trailed the Dragons 17 to 4 after the first period, 23 to 14 at halftime, and 39 to 24 after the third period. The Dragons went on to top the Tigers 55 to 32.
Justin Bone had 8 points for the Tigers. Aaron Patterson scored 6. Ethan Roller and Austin Frazier each with 5. Steven Jennings 4. Jonathon Munoz with 3 and Kaleb Ferrell had 1 point.
