The DeKalb West Dawgs defeated Tuckers Crossroads 4 to 3 in their home opener on Saturday, March 3
It was the first home game of the season and the first game under the new lights at the West School Baseball Field.
Sam McMillen pitched 4 and one third innings with ten strike outs, three walks and one hit batter. Sam gave up only two hits. AJ Mooneyham came in to save the game with two on base. AJ struck out two batters, and a hit to the third baseman Noah Parsley who threw the runner out at first to end the game with a final score of the DeKalb West Dawgs 4, Tuckers Crossroads 3. Sam McMillen gave up only one earned run.The Dawgs scored three runs on seven hits and one unearned run.
