91 year old Ms. Jim Ayers Cripps of the Dry Creek Community of Dowelltown died Saturday morning at her residence. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. The funeral will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Kenneth Clayton will officiate and burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00a.m. until 11:00 a.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Cripps and son, Gary Cripps; parents, John and Callie Moore Ayers and two brothers, Edward Ayers and Charles Brigham Ayers. Survivors include two sons, Dwight Cripps of the Dry Creek Community and Jerald and wife Lisa Cripps of Liberty. A daughter-in-law, Wanda Cripps of Mount Juliet. Four grandchildren, Angela Royalty and Paul Tubbs of Lebanon, Matthew and wife Melody Cripps of Murfreesboro, Jordan and wife Nicole Cripps of Dowelltown and Justin and wife Tiffany Cripps of Smithville. Four great grandchildren, Brody Royalty, Brayden Tubbs, Christian Cripps, and Owen Cripps. A brother, Joe Ayers of Dowelltown. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
