76 year old Kenneth Melvin Johnson of Smithville died Friday at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. He was a Baptist and a retired butcher. A graveside service will be Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Gladys Johnson; a son, Benny Johnson; and a brother, Leamon Johnson. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mildred Adcock Johnson; a daughter, Greta and husband Mike Adcock; and two sons, Kenny and Anthony Johnson all of Smithville. A brother, Elmus Johnson of Smithville Seven grandchildren, Adam and Gretchen Adcock of California, Matthew Adcock, Wayne and wife Billie Johnson, Tony Johnson, and Logan Johnson all of Smithville, Cody Johnson of Murfreesboro, and Victoria Johnson of Rock Island. Two great grandchildren. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
