77 year old Claude Allen of Liberty died Wednesday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a Baptist and a farmer. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Royce Martin will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.; Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.; and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Oma Trusty Allen and sisters, Nayona Nokes and Elizabeth Parkerson. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Dean Crook Allen of Liberty. One son, Albert Allen and Bonnie Rene Pepin of Liberty. One brother, J.C. and wife Pat Allen of Alexandria. Two nephews, Lucion and Carolyn Nokes of Liberty and Wayne Parkerson of Smithville. One niece, Faye Neville of Smithville. Several great nieces and nephews survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In addition to flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association.
