93 year old Alfred Warren Pistole, Sr. of Franklin and formerly of Liberty died at his residence Thursday. He was a retired minister, teacher and foreign missionary. Pistole was a retired Southern minister who attended the Nest Church in Franklin. He was a World War II Navy veteran. The funeral will be Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Brett Stewart and Jim Frazier will officiate and burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Lee Pistole and Intha Sissom and siblings, Jimmy, Vesper, and Mary Charles. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Virginia Pistole. Children, Patsy and husband Tom Harris of Murfreesboro and Al, Jr. and wife Caroline Pistole. Grandchildren, Rachael and husband Chris Rainwater, Colt and wife Heather Harris, Elizabeth Graham Pistole, Natalie Ross Pistole, and Warren Pistole, III. Great grandchildren, Francesca Rainwater and Colette Rainwater. Nephew, Jerry Pistole. Three great nephews. Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is in charge of the arrangements.
