78 year old Willie E. Murphy of Liberty died Thursday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a member of the People's Pentecostal Church and a crane operator at the Chrysler Corporation for 32 years. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Howard Carroll will officiate and burial will be in the Gunter-Grizzle cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. Murphy was preceded in death by parents, Grady and Bertha Murphy and four brothers and three sisters. Survivors include his wife, Jackie Christine Murphy of Liberty. Four sons, Larry Edward Murphy of Windham, Ohio; Lee Roy Murphy of Ravenna, Ohio; Jeffery Wayne Murphy of Liberty; and Michael Anthony Murphy of Liberty. Two sisters, Beulah Mia Bishop of Nashville and Peggy and Vernon Bogle of Woodbury. Four grandsons, seven granddaughters, six great grandsons, and nine great granddaughters also survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
