70 year old Dorothy Unetta Haggard of Dowelltown died Monday morning at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the Nazarene.The funeral will be Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Trent Colwell and Craig Mahler will officiate and burial will be in the Peeled Chestnut Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 4:00 p.m. Haggard was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Wilson Johnson and Emma Lee Taylor Johnson and a brother, Wilson Ray Johnson. Survivors include her husband, Alton Haggard of Dowelltown. Four children. Donald and wife Connie Haggard of Smithville, Michael and wife Sandra Haggard of McMinnville, Teresa Linder of Smithville, and Meresa and husband Jeff Winchester of Smithville. Twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren survive along with a brother, Jerry Johnson of Smithville. Two sisters, Era Billings of the Peeled Chestnut Community and Cathleen Mahler of the Johnson Chapel Community. Several cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
