51 year old Jo Nell Hall of Smithville died Saturday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a retired LPN and a member of the New Union The Baptist Church. The funeral will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Virgil Hibdon, Jr. will officiate and burial will be in the New Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her father, Nelson Griffin. Survivors include a son, Joseph and wife April Hall of Smithville. One daughter, Stephanie and husband Scott Whitson of Cookeville. Four grandchildren, Isaac Hall, Elijah Hall, Malachi Hall and Hannah Hall all of Smithville. Her mother, Ruby Griffin of Smithville. Four sisters, Maxine Davis of Hillbsoro, Earlene Griffin, Penny Hankal, and Lorie Wilcher all of McMinnville. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family has requested that donations be made to Love-Cantrell Funeral Home for burial expenses, in lieu of flowers.
