98 year old Bobby Miller James of Rock Island died Thursday at NHC Healthcare Center. He was a member of the New Union The Baptist Church and a farmer. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Michael Hale will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. James was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Grace James; parents, Robert Cantrell and Mandy James; brothers, Homer and Spencer James; and sisters, Kate Bain and Gert Herron. Survivors include a son, Dan and wife Faye James of McMinnville and a daughter, Gena James of Smithville. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
