62 year old Frances Joyce Redmon of Smithville died Wednesday at her residence. She was a Smithville Shirt Factory worker. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bransford England and Michael Hale will officiate and burial will be in the Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marlene Redmon; two sons, Glen and James Redmon; her parents, Robert Helton and Nancy Lorine Pirtle Hawkins; her step-mother, Gladys Hawkins; a brother, Jerry Lee Hawkins; and a sister Gertrude Redmon. Survivors include her husband, Reed Redmon of Smithville. A daughter Peggy and her husband Timmie Adcock of Smithville. A son, David Redmon and his wife Maria Camaj of Michigan. Two grandchildren, David Redmon, Jr. and Matthew Redmon. Two brothers, Stevie Lynn Hawkins of Smithville and Clyde Hawkins of McMinnville. A sister, Judy Montgomery of Michigan. A step-brother, J.C. Carter of Smithville. A step-sister, Shirley Mathis of Liberty. Special nieces, Christie Hawkins and Donna and her husband Jeremy Green of Smithville and special nephew, Joe and his wife Sue Driver of Smithville. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. The family requests that no food be brought to the funeral home.
