63 year old Rebecca Sue Wilkins of Smithville died Sunday at her residence. She was a homemaker. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Peeled Chestnut Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Mavis Smith Cook and Harold Cook; and her husband Lonnie Wilkins. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy Sue and Michael Roller of McMinnville. One son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Jan Wilkins of Smithville. Six grandchildren, Michael Roller of Lavergne, Jennifer Kirby of Crossville, Justin Parker of Statesville, Bethany Roller of Sparta, Jacob Roller of McMinnville, and Jordan Wilkins of Smithville. Three great grandchildren. One brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Ebby Cook of Indiana. One sister, Diana Deaton of Indiana. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Carolyn Ann Young

51 year old Carolyn Ann Young of Woodbury died Friday at her residence. She was a Community Corrections Probation Officer and a member of the Dowelltown Methodist Church. The funeral will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Wayne Malone will officiate and burial will be in the Gunter Grizzle Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 10:00 a.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah and Hoyte Tramel; her husband, Michael Reed Young; and her father-in-law, Dallas Young. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Allison and Derek Fann of Woodbury. A son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Mandy Young of Woodbury. Her mother-in-law, Jennie Young of Woodbury. Three brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Sarah Tramel of Woodbury, Jerry and Carolyn Tramel of Smithville, and Eddie and Debbie Tramel of Alcoa. Two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce Hendrixson of Dowelltown and Becky and Mike Nokes of Dowelltown. Two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jennifer and Ricky Nixon and Lisa and Timmy Nixon of Smithville. Thirteen nieces and nephews, and eight great nieces and nephews survive. Billie Jean Hill

77 year old Billie Jean Hill of McMinnville died Wednesday at the Woodbury Nursing Center of an extended illness. She was a registered nurse. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church where she was a member. Clyde Leeds will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the service at the church. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, Earl R. Hill. She is survived by two sons, Randall Hill of Poquoson, Virginia and Thomas Hill of Smithville. Two grandchildren, David Hill and Rebecca Hill both of Smithville. High Funeral Home in McMinnville is in charge of the arrangements. The family requests that donations may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Humane Society, 94 Collie Drive, McMinnville, 37110.

J. Alton "Tooter" Reeder

76 year old J. Alton "Tooter" Reeder of Smithville died Wednesday at NHC Healthcare Center. He was a retired handyman. A graveside service will be Thursday at noon at Whorton Springs Cemetery. Virgil Hibdon, Jr. will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Vennie Caldwell Reeder and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by two daughters, Marl Ann and husband Jim Reynolds of Hermitage and Peggy and husband Oscar Hendrix of Smithville. One son, Joe Reeder of Old Hickory. Six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Three sisters, Hazel Bowman of Carthage, Susie Vandagriff of Smithville and Sally Tims of Cookeville. One brother, Melvin and wife Christine Reeder of Smithville. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family has requested that donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses, in lieu of flowers.

J.C. Ellis

82 year old J.C. Ellis of Watertown died Tuesday at Lebanon Health and Rehab. He was born in DeKalb County, served in World War II and an Army paratrooper, and he was retired from Precision Rubber. Ellis was also a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Comer Lodge #417 F &AM. The funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown. David Hesson will officiate and burial will be in Wilson County Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Robert Ellis and Annie Myrtle Yates Ellis and a brother, Glen Ellis. Survivors include his wife, Flora Shorter Ellis of Watertown. A sister, Louise and her husband L.C. Vandergriff of Watertown. A sister-in-law, Effie Lee Ellis of Smithville. Nieces, Pam Cain of Bradyville and Alana Atherton of Lebanon. Several cousins survive along with special friends, Jerry and Linda Stephens of Watertown. Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown is in charge of the arrangements.

Charles "Chuck" Jones

57 year old Charles "Chuck" Jones of Smithville died Tuesday at his residence. He was the owner of Scenic Roads RV. The funeral will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 10:00 a.m. He is survived by his wife, Judy Jones of Smithville. A son, Trent Jones of Smithville. His parents, Richard and Delores Jones of Smithville. His father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Nancy Crowder. A sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Kevin Felts. A brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Phyllis Jones. Very best friends, Eddie and Rebecca Reale. Charles Barry Clayborn

49 year old Charles Barry Clayborn of Orange County, California and formerly of Alexandria died Saturday, July 25th at his residence . He was an aircraft mechanic and a member of the Helton Creek The Baptist Church. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Tim Bennett and Frank Randolph will officiate and burial will be in Hillview Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the service. Clayborn is survived by his wife, Michelle Clayborn and a son, Eric Clayborn both of Orange County, California. His mother and father, Charles and Betty Lou Clayborn of Alexandria. A sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Johnny Florida of Alexandria. Brothers and sisters-in-law, Eddie and Jamie Clayborn of Brush Creek and Tommy and Maria Clayborn of Liberty. Brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Phil and Aliscia Pich and nieces and nephews, Jennifer Florida, James Eddie Clayborn, Stefanie and Cyrus Shores, Thomas Clayborn, Heather Clayborn, and Catherine Pich. 68 year old Frank Hutchins of the Shady Grove Community of White County died Tuesday at his residence. He was retired from the Chrysler Corporation and a Shriner. The funeral will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Peeled Chestnut Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jay Lawson and Lucinda Ann Adcock Hutchins and three brothers, Johnny, Gene, and Donald Hutchins and one nephew, Paul David Scott. Survivors include three sisters, Marie Kocis, Lana Scott, and Janice Stafford and two special cousins, Ruth Rice and Eddie Hutchins all of Sparta. 80 year old Inez Jones of Smithville died Sunday at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bernard Houk will officiate and burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvil Lee Jones. Survivors include a daughter, Linda and her husband Ralph Blazek of Milford, Michigan. Four grandchildren, Lisa Jones, Greg Jones, Steve Blazek, and Jeff Blazek all of Michigan. Five great grandchildren. Two sisters, Billie Ann Miller of Smithville and Peggy Duggin of McMinnville. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Danny "Sonny" Lee Atnip

55 year old Danny "Sonny" Lee Atnip of Dowelltown died Wednesday at Centennial Hospital. He was a Protestant. The funeral will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Atnip and Willeane Shehane Saylors. Survivors include six sisters, Margie and husband Gary Williams of Alexandria, Betty George of Smithville, Linda and husband Dan Fite of Dowelltown, Gail and husband Marlon Bain of Smithville, Paulette and husband Bobby Parker of Gassaway, Tammy and husband Jerry Estes of Smithville. Two brothers, Roy Douglas Atnip of Smithville and Michael and wife Frances Saylors of Smithville. Several nieces and nephews also survive along with special great nephews and great nieces. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family has asked that all donations please be made to the funeral home, in lieu of flowers, in memory of Danny to help with funeral expenses.
