Hazel Hale

73 year old Hazel Hale of Smithville died Friday at her residence. She was a homemaker and a Freewill Baptist. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 pm. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. David England and Bernard Houk will officiate and burial will be in the Bonham Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Hale and two brothers, James Davis and Danny Davis. She is survived by two daughters, Darlene and husband Calvin Ray Tramel and Debbie McGinniss all of Smithville. Three grandchildren, Kathy and husband Henry Colwell of Rock Island, C.J. and wife Tabby Tramel, and Cody Norvick all of Smithville. Three great grandchildren, Heather and Patrick Colwell of Rock Island and James Tramel of Smithville. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family asks that donations be made to Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, in lieu of flowers, to help with burial expenses.

Kimberly Beach Ridinger

34 year old Kimberly Beach Ridinger of Murfreesboro died Sunday. She is survived by her husband Mike Ridinger, daughters Kelsey Elise Ridinger and Abigail Hope Ridinger, and a son Jameson Drake Ridinger all of Murfreesboro, Parents Paul and Alice Beach of Acworth, Georgia. A brother Steven Paul Beach of Acworth, Georgia. Her grandfather Bruce B. Beach of Crossville, and her father and mother – in- law , Larry and Brenda Ridinger of Bartlett. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Howard Bogle, and grandmother Molly Beach. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. until the memorial service which will begin at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at New Vision Baptist Church in Murfreesboro.. Michael Murray will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made at any Bank of America to the Kimberly Beach Ridinger Memorial Fund.for the children. Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Richey David Pack

46 year old Richey David Pack of Smithville died Monday at his residence. He was an employee of Kingston Timer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Eston and Flora Ethell Turner Pack. Survivors include two sons, David Seth and Ricky Payton Pack. Four sisters, Paulette Atchley, Ivy Barnes, Deborah Driver, and Sonya Hale. One brother, Douglas Pack. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

74 year old L.W. Hale of Alexandria died Sunday at University Medical Center in Lebanon. He was a DeKalb County native, a factory worker, and a member of the Watertown Church of Christ. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown. Jimmy Atnip will officiate and burial will be in the Gunter Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral at 1:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Murphy Hale; his parents, Selmer D. and Bettie Ferrell Hale; a sister, Daisy Murphy; and brothers, Selmer Ray, Harrison Lee, and Selmer D. Hale, Jr. Survivors include sisters, Bea and her husband Kenneth Christian of Watertown, Lucille Ferrell of Alexandria, and Dellia Mae and husband Richard Poston of Smithville. Nieces and nephews also survive. Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown is in charge of the arrangements.

Fern Bryant Webb

86 year old Fern Bryant Webb died Thursday morning at NHC Healthcare Center in Chattanooga. She was a homemaker. The funeral will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Smithville Church of God, where she was a member. Donnie Kelly and Michael Farr will offciate and burial will be in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Webb; a son. Joel M. Webb; her parents, Silas and Mattie Moore LeFevre; sisters, Lois Webb, Dora Kay Vanderpool, Peggy Kutz, and Maude Parsley; and brothers, Westley, Bud, Urias, Alphus, and Rallegh LeFevre. She is survived by children, Douglas M. and wife Lavern Webb of Nashville, Dinah G. and husband Larry Lamunyon of Chattanooga, Marsha K. and husband Dwight Anderson of Nashville, Mickey E. and wife Pam Webb of LaFollette, and Jan E. and husband Bob Beard of Coral Springs, Florida. Eight grandchildren, Darrel Cross, Shannon and Tori Dodson, Stephanie Cooper, Sonja Franks, Mylon Webb, Ryan Saturday, and Webb Beard. Sixteen great grandchildren. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Donations may be made to the Church of God Children's Home or to the Smithville Church of God.

Ronald Lynn Chandler

69 year old Ronald Lynn Chandler of Smithville died Monday evening at his residence. He was a Baptist, a Telephone Contractor, U.S. Navy Veteran , and a member of the N.R.A., American Legion, and the VFW. A graveside service will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Cemetery in Geraldine, Alabama. Jimmy Wilburn will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Chandler and parents, A.D. and Mildred Whitfield Chandler. Survivors include his children, Wesley Chandler of Smithville; Randy Chandler of Albertville, Alabama; Rhonda Chandler Blake of Carrollton, Georgia; Traci Chandler Ferrell of Smithville; Darla Chandler of Lavonia, Michigan; Terry Butler of Goose Creek, South Carolina; and Connie Haggard of Smithville. Fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A sister, Carolyn Reynolds of Section, Alabama; and his ex-wife and friend Regina Chandler. Chandler's request was that all donations be made to the American Cancer Society. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Cleo Virgie Henley Long

The funeral for 95 year old Cleo Virgie Henley Long of Estill Springs will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Liberty United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church. She is survived by a daughter, Eva Lou Lawrence of Estill Springs. A sister, Rachel Croft of Hillsboro. Two brothers, John Partin Henley of Nashville and Wilson Henley of Manchester. Six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. Delia Frances Bane

77 year old Delia Frances Bane of Watertown died Thursday at Cedars Health Care Center in Lebanon. She was a DeKalb County native, a homemaker, and a member of the Lower Helton The Baptist Church. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown. Mark Miller and Mike Potts will officiate and burial will be in the Jones Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from noon until 8:00 p.m.; Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.; and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Daisy Sandlin; her ex-husband, Goble Bane; an infant sister and other sisters, Gertie Irene Tubb, and Minnie Belle Driver. Survivors include nieces, Jerri Reese of Lebanon and Bobbie and husband Talmage Young of Dowelltown. Grand nieces and nephews, Michelle Milbauer, Ashley Harville, Brian, Alex, and Isabelle Harville. Betty Mai Nokes Bogle

85 year old Betty Mai Nokes Bogle of Dowelltown died Thursday at her residence. She was a factory worker and a member of the Immanuel Church of Christ. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Leonard Herman will officiate and burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemuel Bogle; three grandchildren; parents, Pet and Hallie O'Conner Nokes; and brothers, Walter, Johnny, Sam, Bob, and Bill Nokes. She is survived by her children, Wanda Harrison of Smithville, Thomas and his wife Annie Bogle of Liberty, Brenda and husband Thurman Bennett of Lebanon, Danny and wife Joyce Bogle of Smithville, Marie and husband Kenneth Derting of Liberty, Elsie and husband Ray Fish of Watertown, and Anita Thornton of Smyrna, and Lisa and husband Dwayne Bowen of Smithville. A brother, Floyd Nokes of Smithville. Twelve grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren survive. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Carson Neil Hensley

Seven month old Carson Neil Hensley of Rock Island died Wednesday at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was a Baptist. The funeral will be Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Wendell Judkins and Kenneth Brown will officiate and burial will be in the New Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by a brother, Keilin Hensley and his grandfather, John Rankhorn. Survivors include his parents, Marlin and Tamara Hensley of Rock Island. Two sisters, Johnna Hensley and Peyton Hensley of Rock Island. One brother, Elijah Hensley of Rock Island. His maternal Grandmother, Nell Rankhorn of Smithville. Grandparents, Tommy and Peggy Hensley of Sparta, and many aunts and uncles. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
