28 year old Cory Lynn Judkins of McMinnville died suddenly Thursday at his residence. He was a Rutherford County native, and a sales clerk for Sears. The funeral will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Madison Street Baptist Church, where he was a member. Jackie Matheny, Bobby Southard, and Alton Scruggs will officiate and burial will be in the Mount View Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at High Funeral Home in McMinnville and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Christine Smith and his paternal grandfather, Nelson Judkins. He is survived by a daughter, Abigail Judkins of McMinnville. His parents, Larry and Phyllis Judkins of McMinnville. A brother and sister-in-law, John Kelly and Jaime Judkins of McMinnville. Nieces, Ashlyn and Adison Judkins of McMinnville. His maternal grandfather, Reverend Carl Smith of McMinnville. His paternal grandmother, Lounette Judkins of McMinnville. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins. T.C. McMillen

78 year old T.C. McMillen of Alexandria died Wednesday at his residence. He was a member and trustee at at the New Hope Baptist Church. The funeral will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Ronnie Smith will officiate and burial will be in the Hillview Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everitt and Leona Robinson McMillen; and a sister, Ruby Paris. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sue McMillen of Alexandria. A daughter and son-in-law, Paulette and Kenneth Rich of Alexandria. A son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Sheila McMillen of Alexandria. Grandchildren, Jeff and his wife Latasha Rich and Justin Rich all of Murfreesboro, and Sam McMillen of Alexandria. Two brothers, Robert and his wife Betty McMillen and Victor and his wife Debbie McMillen all of Alexandria. An uncle, Thomas McMillen of Lascassas. An aunt, Frances Harbin of Nashville and several nieces and nephews. Brothers-in-law, Jack and his wife Nell Johnson and Paul Johnson all of Alexandria. Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is in charge of the arrangements. The family requests that donations be made, in lieu of flowers, to the New Hope Baptist Church Children's Fund, or the DeKalb County Fair.

57 year old Michael Cantrell of Smithville died Tuesday at the V.A. Hospital in Nashville. He was a staff announcer at WJLE and a retired manager of K-Mart in McMinnville. He was also a Methodist. The funeral will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Donnie Kelly will officiate and burial will be in the Keltonburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 1:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his mother, Christine Neely Cantrell. Survivors include his wife, Betty Cantrell. Three sons, Anthony Cantrell, Corey and his wife Nena Cantrell. and Brent and his wife Donna Turner all of Smithville. One daughter, Tonja her husband Michael Moore of Murfreesboro. Six grandchildren, Ethan, Raven and Eli Cantrell all of Smithville, Luke Moore of Murfreesboro, Sydney Turner of Smithville, and Matthew Moore of Murfreesboro. His father, Bernice Cantrell of Smithville. One sister, Sherre and her husband Brett Curtis and a brother, Douglas and his wife Lynn Cantrell all of Smithville. 56 year old Kay Anita Ray of Clarksville died Sunday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was born in Sunbury, Pennsylvania and was a waitress. A memorial service will be held Friday (November 2nd) at 2:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren A. and Shirley A. Herin Rhoades and her husband, Robert D. Ray, Jr. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley M. and her husband Patrick Dandurand of Alexandria. A son, Robert D. Ray III of Alabama. Grandchildren, Dylan J. Dandurand and Nickolas A. Dandurand both of Alexandria. Two brothers, Arthur A. Rhoades of Kulpmont, Pennsylvania and Paul J. Herin, Jr. of Pennsylvania. A niece, Cathy A. Russell of Kulpmont, Pennsylvania. 93 year old Nell Rowland Owen of Murfreesboro, a retired J.C. Penny Department Store employee, died Saturday at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. She was born in Alexandria and was a graduate of Turner Lawrence School in Alexandria. The funeral will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown. Burial will be in Hillview Cemetery in Alexandria. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and prior to the service on Monday. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Howard L. Owen and parents, Pitt and Lena Eaton Rowland. Survivors include her daughters, Pamela M. Owen and Priscilla Ralston both of Murfreesboro and Monica and her husband Darryl Thompson of Alexandria. Grandchildren, Alice Napper Jones of Alexandria, Andrew Napper of Old Hickory, Sara Bottoms of Hermitage, Spencer Ralston of Hermitage, and Rebecca Haynes of Alexandria. Two great grandchildren. Three sisters, Dale Rice of Phoenix, Arizona, Edith King of Maryville, and Ryta McMurray of Clinton. Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown is in charge of the arrangements.

22 year old James Edward Tyler Graham of Smithville died Thursday at his residence. He was a Baptist and attended Warren County High School. The funeral will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Gary Hew will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gregory Allen Graham. Survivors include his parents, Tina and her husband Scott Thomas of McMinnville and Rex Graham of Smithville. A sister, Jaclyn Graham of McMinnville. A brother, Joshua Graham of Smithville. Maternal Grandparents, Linda Cagle and Leonard Luna of McMinnville; a great aunt, Magdalene Dutton of Smithville. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive. 94 year old Mrs. Ethel Martin Vanatta of Woodbury and a long time resident of Alexandria and widow of Dolphin Vanatta, died Friday at the Woodbury Nursing Center. The body is at Woodbury Funeral Home where the funeral will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Thurman Seber and Dr. Richard Bray will officiate and burial will be in the Brush Creek Cemetery. The Vanatta family will receive friends at the Woodbury Funeral Home on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from noon until the service at 2:00 p.m. She is survived by three nieces, Martha K. Taylor of Woodbury, Betty S. and her husband Ronald West of Woodbury, and Nancy A. and her husband Ray Trail of Bradyville. A step-daughter, Etta Frances Bayne. A step-grandson, Vann Bayne. 54 year old Judy Lynn Hensley of Smithville died Friday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a member of the Church of God. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at the Smithville Church of God. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. There will be visitation at the Smithville Church of God on Tuesday from noon until 5:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her father, J.D. Horton, Sr. Survivors include two daughters, Joelle and her husband Brandon Starnes and Jamie and her husband Toby Nokes and two sons, Darrell and Brandon Gurley all of Smithville. Eleven grandchildren. Her mother, Juanita Horton of North Carolina. Three sisters, Joy Brouckaert and Juanita Brown both of North Carolina, and Jill Cornwell of Idaho. Three brothers, J.D. Horton, Jr. of Smithville, Jack and Jeff Horton of Michigan. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family has requested that donations please be made to the funeral home to help with the funeral arrangements.

52 year old Charles Fredrick "Freddy" Martin of McMinnville died Friday at River Park Hospital. He was a factory worker and a Baptist. The funeral will be Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Robert Burns will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by his father, James M. Martin and his wife, Margaret Peoples Martin. Survivors include two daughters, Kristy and her husband Jason Jones of Morrison and April and her husband Michael Farley of McMinnville. Grandchildren, Nicholas and Madison Farley; his mother, Joyce A. Martin of Chattanooga; and a sister, S. Kay Human of Chickamauga. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
