  • Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Alexandria will be having a Benefit Gospel Singing Saturday May 17th at 6:00 pm, with Right On Time and the Bryant Family.All
    proceeds will go for the building of Sunday School rooms and a Fellowship Hall. The church is located at 430 Lower Helton Road off Highway 53. For more information call Pastor Javin Lawson


  • Minister Billy Hale invites you to preaching and singing in the park at Greenbrook Park on Saturday, May 10th starting at 10:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome. Come and bring your own lawn chair. Enjoy singing and old time preaching.


  • The Emmanuel Bread Of Life Church at 322 New Home Road will be hosting Vacation Bible School June 18th, 19th, & 20th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.. The theme will be Outrigger Island. There will be refreshments served each night, and Friday, May 20th there will be a cook-out. Classes are from age 2 - adult, with crafts & fun for everyone.   • A benefit supper and Gospel singing will be held Saturday, May 17th at the Faith Congregational Methodist Church at Dowelltown for the family of Louise Goodwin and Kathy Estes to help with expenses for the late Steve Goodwin. The bean supper will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. for $5.00 or a donation. Enjoy beans, cornbread, a drink, and a dessert. Takeouts will be available. The Gospel singing will follow featuring the Long Branch Community Choir, the Page Family, and the Faith Singers. All donations are appreciated.


  • You and your family and friends are invited to Fellowship Services at the People's Pentecostal Church on the McMinnville Highway in Smithville on Saturday night, May 17th at 7:00 p.m. The special guest speaker will be Kenneth Hale. The church is located five miles south of Smithville on Highway 56.


  • The House of Prayer on Bright Hill Road will have their annual homecoming
    on Sunday May 18th. Services will begin at 10:00 am. Lunch will be served followed by a singing in the afternoon by the Leavells of Nashville. Danny Parker is the Pastor.


  • Bethlehem Community Church's New Beginning's Youth Drama Team will have a practice and reunion Sunday, May 11th at 3:00 p.m. All former members are invited to attend with a performance on Sunday, May 18th. Contact pastor Mike Satterfield for more information at 597-5185.


  • The Dowelltown Baptist Church will have a Revival May 11th-14th. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Sunday and Monday through Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. The evangelist is Braxton Hunter. The pastor is Wayne Malone. For more information call 615-237-9717.


  • The Cleark Fork United Methodist Church and Youth will have their second Saturday of the month dinner on May 10th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church in Gassaway. The menu includes turkey and dressing with gravy, cream potatoes, green beans, corn, rolls, dessert and drink. It's all you can eat for $7.00 per person. Everyone is welcome. Bobby C. Martin is the pastor.


  • First Assembly of God in Smithville teams with Angel Food Ministries in a new local missions outreach throughout our county and surrounding counties. Angel Food Ministries is a Christian, non-profit organization dedicated to providing grocery relief to communities throughout the U.S. Angel Food's groceries are sold at $30 per unit. Each month's menu is different and consists of fresh, frozen, and non-perishable items. Each unit has an average retail value of over $50.00.
    All orders must be prepaid (cash and food stamps/EBT only) and will be taken on May 13th and 15th between the hours of 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the church located on 614 Murphy Street. Representatives will be available during these hours to answer all questions and provide further information. Distribution day is scheduled for Saturday, May 31st.
